Welcome to Halver. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Halver app and website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Halver is a 100% free, community item-sharing network. Members offer surplus items — food, plants, household goods and more — to neighbours at no charge. Halver is not a marketplace: there are no prices, no bidding, and no real money changes hands. In-app coins are a non-monetary system that keeps sharing fair and cannot be bought, sold, or exchanged for cash.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Halver. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under it.
You may not use Halver to share or request illegal items, weapons, drugs, alcohol or tobacco to minors, live animals, stolen goods, counterfeit products, recalled or unsafe products, or anything prohibited by law. You may not harass, deceive, or endanger other members, or attempt to disrupt or abuse the Service.
Halver helps neighbours connect, but exchanges happen directly between members. Halver does not own, inspect, or guarantee any item, and is not a party to any exchange. You are responsible for deciding what to give or accept and for arranging a safe handover. Take sensible precautions, especially with food and when meeting in person.
Listings may be reviewed before going live, including an automated image check. We may remove content, or suspend or remove accounts, that breach these Terms or that we reasonably consider unsafe, unlawful, or harmful to the community.
Care Coins, Halver Coins, reputation points, and levels have no cash value and confer no ownership or financial rights. We may adjust balances to correct errors or abuse, and may change how the coin and reputation systems work to keep the community fair.
You keep ownership of the photos and text you post. You grant Halver a non-exclusive licence to host and display that content as needed to operate the Service. You are responsible for the content you upload and confirm you have the right to share it.
You may stop using Halver and delete your account at any time — see Delete your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put the community at risk.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Halver is not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of items shared, for members' conduct, or for any loss arising from exchanges between members.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
